That's a nice carp. We just shot a bunch the 6-8. Windy but we still killed fish. We got  some good film also.

I think they shot 36 that we got into the boat, lost 7 that came off the arrow. Lots of other shots it was a blast. Dam wind blew us off the water the 2nd day. We got 2 good half days of shooting in and then a part day of fighting the wind. The carp were deep because of the wind. We went out for the first eve when they got here at like 5:30pm the first day. The carp were up with there backs out and they were sticking them good. Matt made some killer long range bombs and shannon wacked her some good ones 2! Hell nick even got to get out from behind the cam and shoot some  They will get some pics up later or I will he has my sd card right now. Film will be next season. They might get some up on here before that, but not sure.

Just the state records. Nothing for just bowfishing here yet. 41 pounds would be a new state record.

if you shot a 42 pound carp would it even count as a state record? I thought they have to be caught from a fishing pole and hooked in the mouth???

I think it would because it says any legal method. Which bowfishing is legal for carp. So I would guess it would count, I would love to find out! Some states already have a system to do records for bowfishing.
